Terms of service

Last updated October 12, 2026

Using yen

Use yen only if you are legally able to agree to these terms where you live. You must follow applicable laws and the rules of any third-party service you connect. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.

yen is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Discord. Discord, Last.fm, and other names and services belong to their respective owners.

Connected accounts and third-party rules

Some features connect to Discord or Last.fm and may store credentials or settings needed to provide the feature. You authorize yen to use the connected account only to provide the features you enable. You can disconnect hosting or an integration through its available controls.

Third-party services control their own products and can change their APIs, terms, or availability. Account automation may be restricted by a third party. You are responsible for checking those rules and deciding whether to use a feature; a third party may limit or suspend an account independently of yen.

Discord hosting and account risk

Yen can connect to a regular Discord user account using an account token and may automate account activity that is not performed through Discord’s official bot API. Discord’s rules prohibit automating normal user accounts outside approved bot and OAuth2 flows. Discord may restrict or terminate an account for this activity, sometimes without warning. Yen is independent of Discord and is not approved or endorsed by Discord.

Only connect an account that you own and are authorized to use. A Discord token is a sensitive credential that can grant access to your account. You choose to provide it, enable features, and decide what activity to run. Do not connect an account if you are unwilling to accept the possibility that Discord may flag, limit, lock, suspend, or permanently terminate it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yen and its operators are not responsible for Discord’s moderation or enforcement decisions, or for warnings, account reviews, restrictions, suspension, termination, lost access, lost content, server changes, or other account consequences related to hosting or activity you enable. This applies while an account is connected and after it is disconnected. We cannot reverse Discord’s decisions or promise that an account will remain available.

Acceptable use

Do not use yen to break the law, interfere with the service, access another person’s account or data without permission, or abuse third-party services. We may suspend or end access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or third parties, or to comply with law.

Availability and changes

We work to keep yen available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Features may change, be paused, or be discontinued. Keep your own copies of information you need; yen is not a guaranteed backup service.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, yen is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that the law allows us to disclaim. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer right or warranty that cannot legally be waived.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, yen and its operators will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses, or for lost profits, data, access, or goodwill. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for yen in the 12 months before the event or US $100. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, including liability that cannot legally be limited.

Your responsibility for claims

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for claims and costs caused by your unlawful use of yen or your material breach of these terms. This does not make you responsible for a claim to the extent it was caused by our own conduct where that responsibility cannot legally be shifted to you.

Updates and contact

We may update these terms as yen changes. The updated date above shows when this page was last revised. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms, except where applicable law requires another process. If you do not agree, stop using yen and disconnect your account.

Nothing in these terms is intended to waive a right that applicable law does not allow us to waive.
